New Name for Varian Imaging Components

We are pleased to announce the name for our Imaging Components business upon the completion of the planned spin-off from Varian Medical Systems. After careful thought and consideration, our new name will be Varex Imaging Corporation. As previously announced, the spin-off is expected to be completed by the end of December 2016.The Varex Imaging name draws from the 65-plus years of technology leadership, a strong industry brand recognition of Varian, and the excellence in X-ray imaging technology our customers will continue to count on from the new company. As an independent business, Varex Imaging will be dynamic and growth-oriented with a sharpened focus on meeting our customers’ imaging needs.

Our priority for the next six months is to create a great company while continuing to provide the same high-quality products and service you expect from us. While there may be operational changes as we transition to a more nimble organization, our goal is to make the separation as smooth and seamless to our customers as possible. As we transition, we will be working closely with our customers and regulatory experts to ensure continuity in business and implement the necessary logistics to continue serving customers around the world post separation.
