VXG-6

The VXG-6 is a gantry hi-energy, non-intrusive screening system. The system is designed to verify the contents of cargo carrying vehicles, ISO containers, large cargo and palletised goods and to identify the presence of hidden contraband, such as weapons, explosives and narcotics.

The VXG-6 system is delivered, installed and commissioned with all the equipment and features required to perform inspections at critical national infrastructure locations especially at border crossings, sea, or dry port environments.

The VXG-6 system is mounted on rails and is designed to scan the whole of the vehicle, including the drivers cabin. The vehicle driver leaves the vehicle and remains outside the Safety Exclusion Zone/VXG-6 System Building. This is also known as ‘bumper to bumper’ inspection.

The VXG-6 system can operate with a vehicle or Target Scanning Throughput of up to 120 targets (a 40 Foot ISO container) per hour in Portal Mode and has both forward and backward scanning capability.

The VXG-6 system meets all the recognized radiation safety standards including ANSI 43 17 (Radiation Safety for Personnel Security Screening Systems using X-Rays) for both shielded and unshielded Radiation Safety Exclusion Zone at operational sites.
