VXM-6

The VXM-6 is a mobile hi-energy non-intrusive screening system. The system is designed to verify the contents of cargo carrying vehicles, ISO containers, large cargo and palletised goods and to identify the presence of hidden contraband, such as weapons, explosives and narcotics.

VXM-6 is delivered, installed and commissioned road ready, with all the equipment and features required to perform inspections at critical national infrastructure locations especially at Border Crossings, Sea or Dry Port environments.

The System is designed to maximize mobility in the screening process. The VXM-6, with its unique detector boom assembly, state of the art linear accelerator, automatic transmission, integrated scan drive and on-board power generator is designed to rapidly deploy and scan cargo and large vehicles.

The VXM-6, which is based on a Mercedes Benz Actros Chassis1 and can come with Client specific decals, as required. The System has a normal deployment/operational set-up time, and ready to scan vehicles, of under 20 minutes. The VXM-6 vehicle or ‘target scans’ throughput, in standard Drive Through Mode, is nominally 25 per hour. The VXM-6 system (in Portal Mode) is typically designed to be capable of screening up to 120 ‘target scans’ per hour.

The VXM-6 meets all the recognized radiation safety standards including A NSI 43 17 (Radiation Safety for Personnel Security Screening Systems using X-Rays) for both shielded and unshielded Radiation Safety Exclusion Zone at operational sites.
